WISTERIA

Wisteria frutescens

read aloud

Wisteria (aka. Wistaria) is a symbol of welcome, romance and the mysteries of a great and enduring love. Our Lord is calling you to His enduring love. Wisteria is a known to live for more than 100 years. It is also said that the long climbing vines are metaphorically in search of new knowledge. Hence, it is also regarded as a symbol of wisdom, longevity, and endurance.

Wisteria vines or Flowering Clematis were named Virgin's Bower because they spread over the Virgin Mary's head to shield her from the hot sun.

As certified by "The Guinness Book of World Records", the world's largest flowering Wistaria vine was planted in 1894 in Sierra Madre, CA and now covers more than an acre.
